Fran and Tim in a sea of blue!
I’ve been so busy shooting and editing weddings this summer, my poor blog has been neglected! To get things back on track I want to start with a fantastic couple, who’s pre-wedding shoot and wedding were a joy to photograph.
Both the pre-wedding shoot and wedding took place at Fran’s parents farm at Hebron in Northumberland. Fran’s mum had the wonderful idea of sewing wildflower seeds in their field in front of the house, so that they would be flowering at the time of the wedding. This amazing sea of blue cornflowers had grown and I could hardly bring myself to take photographs anywhere else.

Fran and Tim met in the first week of University (Leeds University) when they were both 18. Fran tells me, “We were both studying English and got caught talking to the same lecturer who was telling us off for not having visited the library yet. I also, very weirdly remember looking at him, not knowing who he was and thinking “wouldn’t it be weird if i ended up married to that guy?” because of what people said about meeting your future husband at university! We were in the same Halls of Residence two floors apart. I realised i liked him when i was sat next to him in a lecture and lost the ability to concentrate or write notes. Although i am easily distracted…After a few months of Tim winking at me and me telling all my friends about him, and an incident where he climbed up to my window about 20 ft off the ground thinking it would be romantic, we got together and had our first kiss in the worst, most horrible club in Leeds, called Majestyk. All very studenty. We were a bit inseparable after that.”

One of the fantastic corn dollies that Fran’s mum had made for the wedding!

The amazing sea of blue! Wonder if I can get one arranged for my wedding day?……..

What a couple of natural’s Tim and Fran our in front of the camera! Thank you Ailsa for planting such a wonderful field of cornflowers. The wedding photographs to come very soon. Please check back soon! x
